Our partnership with Empire began back in 2017 with a few simple social media projects. Today, we serve as Empire's full-service branding and marketing in-house team, handling creative direction, promotional materials, web design, social media, branding, and more.
Mock trial is a competitive extracurricular activity where students learn about the American legal system by portraying the roles of attorneys and witnesses and taking a fictitious court case "to trial". Students compete against teams from different schools and receive scores from real-world judges and legal professionals.
Empire is an education nonprofit that hosts mock trial competitions for high school students.
Each program features four mock trials, during which students argue a case that is legally complex and socially relevant. Outside of the courtroom, students connect with peers from across the globe, volunteering at a local service project and sightseeing in a vibrant city.
Empire's mission is to educate, connect and empower young people to be more compassionate and capable citizens.
We re-brand each Empire competition every year. Each brand is inspired by the location where each competition is held. Empire's 2021 competitions will take place in "cyberspace" i.e. online, as a continued response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Each year's re-brand presents new opportunities to re-create and re-imagine Empire's experience for students... from the printed pieces and swag students receive in their registration packets, to apparel, marketing materials, social media, signage, and online interfaces.
In 2019, Empire was tired of not being able to easily modify the content on their website. So, we built a new one on Squarespace. Simple, clean, user-friendly, Empire's new site allows leadership to make edits whenever they need to while still accommodating all the information, e-commerce features, and resources the organization needs.
